About Break Free

Hip-Hop School

Established in 2011 - Break Free Hip-Hop School has directly educated thousands of Houston and Texas area youth through on-site and mobile programming that inspires creativity and nurtures confidence in any setting.

We offer resources, opportunities in performances and competition, and career paths for individuals who develop a passion and a dream in the Arts.

Our Houston programs offers the following classes for students ages 3 on up, including adults:

  • Breaking (commonly known as “breakdance”)

  • Choreography/Freestyle (commonly referred to as “hip-hop dance”)

  • Digital Creators Classes (photography, videography, design, and creation)

  • Fitness and Personal Training

Our program is year round and membership (monthly based).

Students learn creativity, confidence, strength and conditioning, performance skills, and communal relationships in the program (available for ages 3+)

 Frequently Asked Questions

  • At our Friendswood program in Summer 2026, classes are Tuesdays and Saturdays. We offer flexible scheduling for all our memberships - meaning, you can use your class credits during any of the class times offered.

    Our specific class schedule is located above on the registration form.

    Online ZOOM sessions are done a private-lesson basis and can be scheduled to accommodate you. Please send a message in the chatbox on bottom corner for Online Interest.

  • The form has designated space for up to 3 students in your family - please fill out the form and include all their info. Sibling discounts are honored on there as well.

  • No! A Break Free specialist will contact you after to help guide you and answer any other questions - but if you'd like to refer to our specific class schedule, please scroll down and your first class can be on any of the options for the students age range.

  • A water bottle, and comfortable clothes (sneakers and sweatpants, joggers, or pants past the knees)

  • Breaking is commonly referred to as Breakdance - what is usually taught in studios as "hip-hop dance" is choreography done to modern music. While we specialize in Breaking, we teach both!

  • Yes, we offer beginner adult classes - as well as personal fitness training and coaching.
